Leave it to Jane, (Glamours Fashion News Director) to preface the point I am trying to make here . Coral really is the new black. Like a basic v-neck tee, white button down, little black dress or dark denim, coral can be simple, versatile and worn with almost anything, at any time of the year! Its not a color that youd specifically set out to buy but incorporating it into a mix of other classic, timeless pieces can instantly make an outfit appear more stylish, intentional and complete with the simplest addition, like a scarf or pop of lip color. Unlike an amaryllis-pink or bright red, coral is the perfect balanced accent to an effortlessly chic white, black or navy ensemble; its vibrant enough to cheer up basics but not loud enough to detract from the elegance of them. Where I once had a closet filled with shout-y prints and hyper-bright colors, I now prefer investing in basic staples in lei of season-specific trends and refreshing my wardrobe seasonally with small, classic essentials. And when those essentials are coral-colored, I know I’ll wear them over and over again, in many different ways. Heres a look at some amazing coral pieces below that I am loving right now.
