To say we’re inspired by Amanda Chantal Bacon is an understatement. The cosmic chef and founder of Moon Juice is a major player in the green food movement, with three locations in southern California serving up hydraulically cold-pressed organic vegetables, fruits and herbs—aka, the most nutrient dense juice around. According to our sources, one bottle of Moon Juice is like eating three pounds of raw, organic vegetables, herbs and fruit.
Amanda is what it looks like to consign to your dreams and successfully build a brand around your life’s passions. It’s glamorous at times, but the commitment is non-stop. Most recently, Amanda published a recipe book that spares no thoughtful detail in its organization, visual presentation, and above all else, helpful information on how to harness the power of plants to nourish and elevate your body, beauty, and consciousness.
Between and before it all, we caught up with Amanda to check in on how she’ll change the pace this holiday.
Where are you spending the holidays?
This holiday season is a big one work-wise (umm wait haven’t I said that every year?!) I’m counting on a last-minute long weekend jaunt with some friends and my son into the wild of California.
Favorite holiday Moon Juice concoction?
I love hot cocoa spiked with spirit dust for the holidays…it’s a cosmic mood enhancer with the added benefits of boosting immunity from the reishi.
What are your tricks to getting through the holidays? How do you stay healthy?
I focus on getting some fermented foods or a probiotic supplement in every day, this helps with bloating that may occur from holiday indulgence and helps to break down the sugars from spirits, it boosts the immune system, and helps to bring some more glow to the skin. I’m also sure to keep up with my daily meditation practice, if you have a physical or mindfulness practice I suggest really leaning into heavily this season… be the beacon of light for your friends and family that may be going through stressful times, that’s the greatest gift we can share.
Do you have a special family holiday tradition?
I grew up with a lot of tradition around holidays and I’ve happily found myself in a flow of much less expectation around these events. I appreciate all of the celebrating but try to focus on the simple heart of the matter which is really just pausing to be with one another and loving each other…. if the tree, lights, travel, or table setting doesn’t come together that’s ok, just enjoy each other!
What are you most excited about giving this season to friends and family?
I have a list including mini tangerine trees, a healing session, the wild unknown tarot deck, some rather larger pieces of rose quartz, a Christy Dawn dress, and the Love Potion and Resurfacing Mask. I’m obsessed with these indulgent yet effortless products that make for perfect self-care moments! I’m also crazy about the Regenerating Cleanser and Revitalizing Body Oil—I’ll be traveling with them!
“Beauty is not a regimen but a state of grace and longevity that follows biological age, not chronological age. We are beautiful when we are healthy, happy, loving, high functioning, and vital. That’s a different size and shape for each of us, uniquely and radiantly your own.” ~ Amanda Chantal Bacon

An entrepreneurial lifestyle doesn’t leave much room for down time, but it’s crucial to creativity to step away once in a while. The holidays can be chaotic, but we usually find a moment of peace somewhere toward the end of it all. This month we’re catching up with a few of our friends to see how they’re spending some oh-so-sacred time away from the office, and bringing the holiday spirit with them.
