The Tata Harper team sometimes feel like we live on the road – in a given week, we can hit a new city every day – sometimes multiple countries. Tata is always on the lookout for new designers and shops, the chicest hotels, and the healthiest places to eat while traveling. Our new series brings you Tata’s favorite spots and helps you to stay grounded, fresh, and feeling like your work travel can be a mini-vacation, even when you never stop.
This Stop: Palm Beach & Miami!
I love the Mediterranean architecture and the location is just perfect: so easy to walk to the beach, tasty restaurants and Worth Ave. They always remember your face, and make you feel right at home.

Island Bee is an adorable spot serving up organic acai bowls, avocado toasts, juices and smoothies. Their two most popular juices are the Sweet Leaf (with cucumber, spinach, grapefruit, orange, apple and mint) and the Citrus Love (with orange, grapefruit, lemon, spirulina, and fennel).
I love places that have a common philosophy to myself and my business. This place uses only the best ingredients and it’s all plant based. There are tons of raw eateries, but raw plus superfoods is as good as it gets in my book. Try the Sweet Green juice with kale, spinach, pineapple, mango, lemon, ginger, honey, and coconut water – it’s just as good without honey!
A classic cafe with pink interiors and divine gelato? Yes please. P.S. Kirna Zabete is opening soon across the plaza from Sant A, can’t wait to see what the Palm Beach outpost of this Soho pop art fashion shop looks like.
Euro-cool, dripping with chandeliers, and owned by Swedes. Get your caffeine fix cozied up with hygge design.
After a late night Masterclass a few of us headed to Imoto—do not miss this! We ordered Tuna Tataki, Hamachi Sashimi, Peking Duck Tacos, Cauliflower, Wild Mushrooms (OMG) and a few different sushi rolls. Everyone there said it was some of the best Japanese food we’d ever had. It can get packed with the Palm Beach social scene – always good people watching!
When in Palm Beach I like to stop by the Seafood Bar for lunch. I ordered their Blue Stone Crab Colossal Claws with a side of broccoli and spinach. I always like to leave on something sweet, and the brownie sundae that we had was enough to split between four people and was absolutely delicious.
Always have to stop in at Saks Worth Ave when in Palm Beach. Explore the bougainvillea-overgrown alleyways and courtyards to discover some of my favorite shops: Figue, CJ Laing, and Gypsy. Gypsy carries great designers like Ulla Johnson, Protagonist, Jonathan Simkhai, Place Nationale, and Giada Forte.
Haute Yoga is in the same little plaza as Sant Ambroeus. There’s great energy, the classes are super positive and uplifting, and the teachers are really fun.
The Faena Hotel is flawless. Walking in you’re greeted with gorgeous artwork and Damien Hirst’s golden mammoth. The space is immersive and inviting all throughout, with ultra-chic architecture and ambiance – including the occasional star spotting.
Eat and Drink
My all time favorite! Nestle into a lantern lit garden for Northern Italian specialties, the Tuna Tartare Sliders and Caviar Fettucine are my go to. Work off dinner by heading to the lounge for some late night dancing and karaoke.
The Edition is a super cool hotel with a great spa in Miami Beach. There’s a cute cafe with delicious juices (I had the beet juice). The Basement below is a fun night club that not only has an ice skating rink, but a bowling alley as well. If you’re looking for a fun time this might be the perfect place to stay.
Located on it’s very own private beach, the Soho is always good to stop by for the pulse of the city (with a touch of NYC). I like to drop in for a pre dinner drink and beautiful views.
This place is amazing, the widest selection for the craziest types of ice cream I’ve ever seen anywhere. I love a sweet afternoon pick-me-up and I went with Chocolate Chocolate Chip.
The best healthy food market and they have my favorite powerhouse tropical smoothie, the Funk Guanabana, with cashew milk, coconut meat, banana, vanilla, dates and lime juice. It’s packed with antioxidants, anti inflammatory, anti cancerous, and the list-goes-on-goodness.
It’s always fun to have lunch at The Standard, but a visit is not complete without going down below to the spa, which is a super unique take on the modern spa experience. They use hydrotherapy in a Turkish-style hamam, an aroma steam room, Roman waterfall hot tub, Finnish sauna, arctic plunge, mud lounge and treatment baths where you can choose your own salts for a customizable experience. Try the Face + Full Body Glow.
Former warehouse district turns epicenter of Miami art scene does not disappoint. Home to the ‘Wynwood walls,’ a living outdoor museum of murals, street art and graffiti. The Design District’s neighborhood is dedicated to innovative fashion, art, and dining, with nonstop exhibits at galleries like De La Cruz.
This is a super fun little curated concept shop with all Latin American designers. You don’t need to go to Miami to shop them, but I highly recommend checking them out, they have some really strong spring vibes happening right now.
We found some awesome vintage here: great tee’s 70s dresses, and bags from every era. Plus we bumped into Alexi’s wife, Giada, in this shop, and running into friends is always one way to know you’re in the right spot
Let me know what you love in Miami and Palm Beach!
