Yeah, well, you know blue is my favorite color (even though we typically dream in green and yellow here) which for Vermont, is so symbolic. Throughout the year we have several opportunities to introduce unexpected colors for exclusive products and limited-edition releases, like our Honey Blossom Resurfacing Mask which launched today. So yesterday while I was workin’ and maskin’ (with my very own brand new honey mask), I was simultaneously searching for inspiration references to send Tata for a top secret Holiday project and I got lost in the color blue. “Could we use blue?”, I wondered. You would think I was asking “Why is the sky blue?”… I really had to think about it because it’s a hue we hardly use and what would that color say? What does it represent? Is it evocative of what’s inside the bottle or jar? For this project? Hmmmm. Yes, decidedly so. There is a time and a place for the color blue and Holiday could be one of those times. We’ll see. In the mean time, this Friday 5 is very simple; just 5 beautiful things that are blue.
Social Comment: I assure you that pondering the color blue while doing beauty treatments is not a typical day at Tata Harper, but luckily for me, they happen every once in a while. 😉
